Ingredients

300g blackberries, fresh or frozen

5 cloves

1 stick of cinnamon

2 pieces of orange zest

1 star anise

2 pears

300ml pear-flavoured vodka

750ml prosecco (Martini prosecco if possible)

Method

  1. Add a handful of the blackberries to a heatproof bowl and squish them to release their juices, then add the rest, along with the spices, orange zest and 300ml boiling water. Core and slice the pears, then add them to the water. Give it a good stir, then leave to steep for at least 8 hours, or overnight.
  2. Pour the infusion into the Showstopper bowl, then half-fill it with ice. Go in with the vodka and prosecco, give it a gentle stir, then serve it straight away.
